Since everyone seems to have easy access to finding out what top selling artists are getting paid, an anonymous survey of 24 people in the music industry gives insight to perks, pains, and yearly pay for numerous jobs during a tough time in the music business. This is not an average amount for each job, just a real number from one individual that works in the business. Among the job titles and salaries are:
Music Publicist ($120,000)
Major-Label A&R Exec ($92,000)
Indie Label owner ($40,000)
Rock Radio DJ/Music Director ($65,000 with $5,000-$10,000 plus for personal appearances)
Tour Manager ($60,000)
Production Manager for Arena Rock Tours ($150,000)
Artist Manager ($500,000)
Band Website Designer ($70,000)
Record Promoter ($60,000)
Club Talent Booker ($60,000)
Indie Record Store Manager ($22,000)
