In light of a Belgian court's decision to rule that an ISP must take responsibility for stopping illegal file-sharing activity on its network and a proposed change in Swedish copyright law that would force ISPs to terminate the contracts of copyright infringers, the French government set up th Olivennes Commision to find ways to combat illegal downloading. The Commision will review many topics apropos copyright infringement and was asked to considered numerous issues including price, interoperability, DRM, and more.Login to post comments

Following a Belgian court decision that an ISP must take responsibility for stopping illegal file sharing on its network, the Swedish government wrote a report that proposed changes in Swedish law so that ISPs would be obligated to take action to terminate contracts with copyright infringers.
