Artist and managers are having a few issues with the way labels are doing business. One of the discrepancies is that artist have not seen their share of money that the labels received from settlements between themselves and companies like Napster, Kazaa, and Bolt.com. Other issues that artist and managers are facing are that they have not seen money from having their music played on YouTube. As labels are starting to downsize and reconstruct and the 360 deal is starting to be used, lawyers and managers are starting to question if a smaller company can make the deal work and benefit the artist at the same time.
