Berklee College of Music was founded on the revolutionary principle that the best way to prepare students for careers in music was through the study and practice of contemporary music. For over half a century, the college has evolved constantly to reflect the state of the art of music and the music business. With over a dozen performance and non- performance majors, a diverse and talented student body representing over 70 countries, and a music industry "who's who" of alumni, Berklee is the world's premier learning lab for the music of today — and tomorrow.

The Music Business/Management Department offers you the opportunity to learn about the business side of music. Whether you're interested in becoming a professional musician or a music business professional, the Music Business/Management Department will teach you what you need to know in order to market your talents and ensure your success.

Heavy Rotation Records is an established student-run record label at Berklee, operated for musicians and by musicians, expanding careers and offering opportunities ailn aspects of the music industry and developed specifically for students to receive experience in running a record company. With the guidance of faculty advisor Jeff Dorenfeld - former manager of the multi-platinum band Boston - students oversee all aspects of the label's management, creating and implementing plans for A&R, marketing, touring, graphic design, web development, and accounting.

The Berklee Internet Radio Network (BIRN) is a project of the Berklee College of Music and is designed, operated, and maintained by the Berklee community of students, faculty, and staff.
